IUF Crowdfunding

Join in reducing barriers for Bloomington undergraduate students to participate in transformational, experiential learning activities, shaping their academic and professional goals. Our Office makes these experiences possible annually for nearly 150 students involved in undergraduate research and community-engaged internships through $170,000+ in financial support, but many more students could benefit from support.

These activities include undergraduate research and creative activity, internships, and community engagement at both the local and global level.

The Office of Engaged Learning advances connections, opportunities, and support networks for students by increasing participation in high-impact learning activities such as undergraduate research and creative activity, internships, and community engagement. These activities lead to greater educational outcomes and career preparedness which is why the Office of Engaged Learning seeks to remove barriers to participation especially among traditionally underserved student populations (including underrepresented minority students, first-generation college students, and students with high financial need).

While we’re proud of the funding support our Office sets aside to directly reduce barriers for students to refine their academic and professional goals through enriching activities, the number of students seeking support for research and supplies, creative activity and internships, and costs associated with students presenting their research is considerable.

We’re looking to IU friends, donors and alumni to join us in inviting historically underserved students into transformational learning experiences. Your gift supports students’ lives through applied learning experiences that advance their personal, intellectual, and professional goals.

Thank you for reducing barriers for students by making a gift today.
